"Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world." ~ Harriet Tubman
I’m sure most of you must have heard about Make-A-Wish, well when I was three I got an amazing opportunity to make a wish. At that time I couldn’t speak and could only do sign language. So I did a mouse sign and off we went to Disney World Florida. Although I personally don’t remember that trip at all, seeing pictures show me how blessed I was having people make my dream come true. Although I already had a Make-A-Wish wish if I would do it again there would be a million things I would want to do like, meet the New York Giants, meet Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift. But I think the one I would really love to do would be going on the Ellen Degeneres Show. I would love to go on the show and just share my story. I watch her show everyday during the seasons and the inspiring people she has on are awesome. I love hearing everyones different stories whether its losing a home, or having Cystic Fibrosis. Not a lot of people have heard of CCM, and I would love to make it heard and share the ups and downs. I want to tell other kids that its okay to be different. I know what it is like to live a life that isn’t defined as “normal”. I have run into many obstacles that I have to overcome and so do many other kids. I may not know exactly what they are going through but having someone to talk to can go a long way in helping someone and that is what I want to do. I’m currently in the process of writing my letter and sharing my story to Ellen. In other news less than two weeks until I move into school, how scary is that! Sorry guys I haven't posted in awhile, life has been pretty crazy these past couple weeks with a family emergency. But I will be posting more especially with my nerves for school
This girl right here who the doctors said would never be able to walk just got her drivers license. You all may be wondering how on earth can this girl drive if she is only 4'6 well I will tell you. I got a car this past christmas and I went to a place called mobility works who does speciality with cars for disabled people. They added pedal extensions to my car only 2 inches on the gas and break but thats it! Including the extensions i also sit on a cushion. But besides that I drive like a normal person. How cool is that?! Can't you tell I am super excited about this, even though I was shaking during my test. I may get a few weird looks while I'm driving and will probably get pulled over just because they don't think I'm old enough to drive but so what. This time I not going to let other people ruin this new exciting thing for me. Also less than a month from school!!! P.S I'm a pretty good driver! |
